What can an IMedia system control in my home?
IMedia systems can control lighting, thermostats, motorized window treatments, pool equipment, security systems and home theater audio and video, including TVs, DVD players, VCRs, game systems, AM/FM and satellite radio, iPods, and stereos.
What does fully tested mean?
The electronics marketplace continues to grow and is in constant flux. As veterans of the industry, we use our knowledge and experience to choose products from reputable brands that best fit the needs we believe every homeowner should have or want. We purchase a new product and simulate everyday use by adding it to one of our systems in the lab. If the new piece works consistently without technical issues over the course of two weeks, we spend the next two weeks trying to make it malfunction. In addition, the product’s compatibility with the other components within the existing system is checked. After a month of successful testing of the new product, we will then endorse it and offer it as an option to our customers.
How long does it take to have a system installed?
The custom design process usually takes two weeks, depending on your schedule. After the system is designed, it customarily takes six weeks to assemble and fully test a given system. Typically, a home’s building or remodeling process takes much longer.
It’s best to consult with IMedia before beginning building or remodeling your home because decisions you make with us can affect how other systems in the home will be designed.
How much do the systems cost?
For custom systems, the cost varies depending on your specific needs. Systems start as low as $10,000.

Is there a warranty?
The IMedia warranty covers the design and programming of a system for one year. Manufacturer warranties on specific components vary from one manufacturer to the next. IMedia will manage the troubleshooting, repair and reinstallation of any equipment that is under manufacturer’s warranty beyond the IMEDIA one year warranty period for the price of time and materials.
Can I do the pre-wire myself?
Certainly. Once you have chosen your system, IMedia will provide you with a wiring schematic to dictate the parameters of the pre-wire. You can do it yourself or have another company do it. IMedia only needs to confirm that the schematic was followed correctly and to test the pre-wired connections. Once the infrastructure wire is verified, IMedia will install and test the final equipment.
Can I add new products to my system after it’s installed?
Sure. The modular nature of our products enables you to start small and to add to your system over time as new, advanced technologies become available.
