Integrated Media designs and builds systems that fit each client's needs. We can help you find a solution that fits your lifestyle perfectly – the possibilities are endless.
The time it takes to design, assemble and install a custom system depends on your schedule and the options you’ve selected. It is best to consult with IM before beginning building or remodeling your home because decisions you make with us can affect how other systems in the home will be designed.
The following describes, in detail, how our process works for our custom solutions so you know exactly what to expect.

DISCOVERY
This is the initial meeting between you and your IM representative to look over floor plans, discuss your needs and shape the initial scope of the project.
The consultation is free; however, once the project is committed and everyone is in agreement to move forward, an initial design deposit of $1500 is required. The design deposit provides you with two revisions of the initial draft and one final proposal document with floor plan A/V layer drawings, wiring schematics and a fully comprehensive installation price proposal, including the cost of all necessary parts and labor.

DESIGN AND BUDGETING
In this stage, IM prepares a draft proposal; then a second meeting takes place to discuss the first draft proposal and to make any changes.
If there are changes, IM will then prepare an amended draft proposal reflecting those changes. If necessary, a third meeting takes place to discuss the current draft and make any final changes before the full design/proposal document is prepared.

FINAL DOCUMENTATION
At this point, IM prepares a final version of the project design in full detail with floor plan A/V layer drawings, wiring schematics and a fully comprehensive installation price proposal, including the cost of all necessary parts and labor. Once you and your IM representative agree on the final document, all parties sign off on the final design.

SCHEDULING AND IMPLEMENTATION
The following 10 specific steps are taken to ensure a successful implementation of your custom system:
1. Introduction meeting: Your IM project manager will meet with you and the building project foreman to make introductions and discuss the construction schedule and plan for the IM system pre-wire. At this point, a deposit will be due to secure the pre-wire and assure equipment and resources.
2. Walkthrough: When the building project is underway and ready for electrical wiring, IM will schedule a walkthrough of the project site to discuss and mark exact locations – collectively agreed upon by you, the building foreman and your IM project manager – for the components in the system.
3. Pre-wire: Your IM project manager will coordinate with the building foreman to install the low voltage pre-wired infrastructure as specified in the project design documents and at the agreed-upon locations. IM’s pre-wire contractor will install all wiring for the project.
4. Pre-wire verification: Your IM project manager will visit the site and verify that all wiring and infrastructure matches the design documents and agreed-upon locations.
5. Pre-wire verification walkthrough: Your IM project manager will contact you and the building foreman to discuss any concerns and to sign off on the verified pre-wire before wall studding is enclosed. This is the last chance to make pre-wire changes before walls are enclosed. Any wiring changes made after this point will damage the finished wall material and will require repair by a building foreman.
6. Trim-out: Your IM project manager will coordinate with the building foreman to install the wall and ceiling mounted components of the project as specified in the project design documents and at the agreed-upon locations. After finishing the trim-out, IM will test every connection to verify proper operation when the system is complete.
7. Trim-out verification meeting and walkthrough: Your IM project manager will contact you and the building foreman to discuss any concerns on the verified trim-out. At this point, a second payment will be due to secure final equipment ordering, resources for assembly and testing of the completed system in IM’s facilities.
8. Final installation: Your IM project manager will coordinate with you and/or the building foreman to install the final pieces to complete the system, e.g., projectors, flat panel displays, equipment racks, components and touch panels.
9. On-site burn-in and training: After all of the final equipment is installed and functioning, your IM project manager will train you on how to operate the system. He will return to your home twice in the following two weeks to test the system’s functionality and make any necessary adjustments.
10. Final sign-off and payment: Your IM project manager will meet with you in your home to verify that the system is fully functioning. Both of you will then sign off on the project’s completion. The final payment on the project is due at this meeting.
CHANGE ORDERS
Note that if you or the building foreman makes any changes to the originally agreed-upon design, IM will revise the design documentation at a rate of $100/hour. Any change order will also include a service charge of 5 percent of the difference in the final dollar amount of the original project and the revised project. All parties must sign off on
